Norman Dolph Died: What Was His Cause Of Death?

Norman Dolph, Nico, and Early Velvet underground producer die on his 84th birthday. 

Birthdays are “deadly”, approx 14% of our total population has died on their own birthday. The average death rate on people’s birthdays is 6.7 percent higher than on other normal days.

Norman Dolph has entered the list of those famous people, who died on their birthday,

“Touring galleries with someone who knew most of the artists personally was a privilege few people are lucky enough to experience,” Charles Kennedy, Invisible Hands Music owner.

In a public statement, it was confirmed that Norman Dolph who helped record the band’s 1967 debut album passed away last Friday, Planetary Group confirms.

Moreover, Planetary Group further says that Dolph died after battling cancer. Most probably, he was surrounded by family by his side in New Haven, Connecticut.

Dolph was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on May 11th, 1939. Moreover, in 1960 he graduated from the University of Yale with an electrical engineering degree. After his graduation, he moved to New York City. 

After he settled in New York City, he worked as a salesman for Columbia Records’ Custom Labels Division. Moreover, he also played his role in pressing records for third-party clients such as indie label Scepter Records.

Dolph worked as a songwriter too. He also did co-write the 1974 hit ‘Life Is A Rock (But The Radio Rolled Me)’, recorded by Reunion. Later after making some editions this was used in a McDonald’s Super Bowl commercial.
