ENTOMBED AD has reported the death of its singer Lars-Göran Petrov. The vocalist, who was also a member of ENTOMBED, died last night at the age of 49, as a result of the incurable cancer he suffered from.

“We are devastated to announce that our dear friend Lars-Göran Petrov has left us.
Our brother, leader, vocalist, our Chief Rebel Angel left last night on another ride. It is with the deepest sadness that we have to announce that Lars-Göran Petrov has left. He was (is !!!) an incredible friend and a person who has touched a lot of people. He has changed many lives with his voice, his music, his character, and his unique personality. The LG smile is something that we will carry forever in our hearts. When asked in an interview what he would like to have written on his tombstone and what about his legacy, he said: “I will never die, I will never die. ” And you didn’t. You will live forever in our hearts. “
The Swedish vocalist, who never lost his humor, even commented that his doctor had recommended cigars and rum in moderation as part of the treatment.
Lars-Göran Petrov, who had his birthday on February 17, was currently active in the Death Metal bands ENTOMBED AD and FIRESPAWN.

Also, he was a member of ENTOMBED from 1989 to 2014, giving voice to a classic Swedish Death Metal album like “Left Hand Path”. He was the singer during the entire career of the group except for the album “Clandestine” (with Nicke Andersson at the microphone) and in the period 1991-1992, in which he was replaced by Johnny Đorđević. In those years he recorded the debut of the Swedes COMECON, “Megatrends In Brutality”.
He was also part of groups such as MORBID or NIHILIST. He has also been a guest vocalist on numerous releases, including albums by AMON AMARTH, VOLBEAT, PUNGENT STENCH, ATROCITY, and ROTTEN SOUND.
