Good Times Actor Johnny Brown Dead, Family Mourns The Tough Loss
American actor Johnny Brown is dead. He has performed, inter alia, as Nathan Bookman on the television sitcom Good Times. He was 84 years old.
The family says he was “snatched from their lives.”
His daughter, Broadway actress Sharon Catherine Brown, informed people about the artist’s death on Instagram. “Our family is devastated. I can barely breathe,” she wrote.
The daughter of the deceased actor also asked to respect the family’s privacy during this difficult time. “It’s a shock. He was torn out of our lives. It’s not real for us yet. So there will be more to say, but not now. Dad was absolutely the best. We love him so much” – Brown ended her post.
Details of the cause of Johnny Brown’s death have not been made public.
Sharon Catherine left us all emotional;
“This is my mom’s husband for sixty-one years, mine and JJ’s dad, Elijah and Levi’s Pop-Pop, older brother to George and brother in law to Pat and extended family to Chris, Hihat, Damian, and Derell.”
Johnny Brown: A man of many talents
On June 11, 1937, Brown was born in St. Petersburg, Florida; he grew up in Harlem.
He appeared in such productions as: “Life,” “The Wizard of Oz,” “The Romance.”
American viewers will remember him in the 1970s sitcom “Good Times.” Morever, Brown played Bookman until the series ended in 1979.
Gwiazdor was also a talented musician and comedian. He was associated with a broad, ingratiating smile, busy facial expressions, and an easy, pleasant joke style.
