John Stahl, star of Game Of Thrones, died last Wednesday (2/3), on the Isle of Lewis, Scotland, at the age of 68. The information was confirmed by the actor’s agent to the British website The Mirror this Friday (4/3).

Stahl was responsible for giving life to Richard Karstark, head of House Karstark, a vassal family of the Starks of Weinterfall. “He was an actor with remarkable abilities,” declared Amanda Fitzalan. The actor’s cause of death was not revealed. According to his Twitter followers, he died as a result of a sudden illness at the age of 68. However, there is no other official information to claim these speculations.

Another outstanding role for the actor was Inveradarroch, played by Stahl in the soap opera Take The High Road (1982-2003) and in films such as Victoria & Abdul and Mary Queen of Scots.

“He died on the Isle of Lewis on March 2 and leaves his wife Jane Paton,” he added in a statement, quoted by Metro.

A native of Scotland, where he was born in 1953, he has done a lot of work in the world of acting. In addition to his role in the hit HBO series, where he played Rickard Karstark, John Stahl also appeared in films such as ‘Victoria & Abdul’ or ‘Mary Queen of Scots’.
