Shane O’Connor, son of singer Sinead O’Connor, has died at age 17. The news has been confirmed by the singer herself through her social networks. Apparently and according to the international media, the 17-year-old minor had been missing since last Thursday, January 6, when he escaped from the hospital where he was admitted.

The last time the minor was seen alive was in the medical center where he was admitted under surveillance due to the risk of suicide. This hospital that is in Tallaght, south of Dublin, was the one that alerted of the disappearance of the adolescent.

Shortly before the outcome, the interpreter had been very upset that the hospital where her son was before he disappeared did not pay more attention to him knowing his condition. “How a 17-year-old boy traumatized and on the verge of suicide in the Tallaght Hospital has been able to disappear? The hospital, of course, denies all kinds of responsibility. If something happens to my son? Lawsuits,” she threatened.

British media reported he was wearing a black and patterned hoodie, dark sweatpants, a burgundy T-shirt, and sneakers. The search ended Friday after police found his body in the Bray area of Wicklow. “A missing person appeal has been withdrawn regarding 17-year-old Shane O’Connor,” a spokesperson told The Sun newspaper.

Since then, the singer Sinead O’Connor asked through her social networks for the return of the minor. “Shane, your life is precious. God didn’t carve that beautiful smile on your beautiful face at all. My world would collapse without you. You are my heart. Please don’t stop beating. Please don’t hurt yourself. Go to the Police and we will take you to the hospital ”, wrote the artist through her Twitter profile.

Today she confirmed the dramatic details of the suicide. She said that the teenager hanged himself and reported negligence by the Police and the Irish Agency for Minors.

In addition, she herself asked everyone who was with her own son to call the security agents to find out the whereabouts of the minor: “This is a message for my son, Shane. Shane, it’s no longer funny that this is all lost. You’re scaring me. Could you do the right thing and report to a police station? If you are with Shane, please call the police for his safety. ”

However, two days after his disappearance, the Irish Police have found the body of the 17-year-old boy. So far, the security agents have not wanted to give any other details to the British media.

However, it was Sinead O’Connor herself who confirmed the sad news through a brief statement on her Twitter profile. “My beautiful son, Nevi’im Nesta Ali Shane O’Connor, the very light of my life, decided to end his earthly struggle today and now he is with God,” wrote the interpreter of ‘ Nothing Compares to You ‘.
