The stage actress Hollis Resnik was 66 years old at the time of death.  

Hollis Resnik died on the 18th of April 2022 which falls on Sunday. Moreover, according to our information, Hollis Resnik was at the Swedish Covenant Hospital.

Hollis Resnik was the 12-time winner of the theatre arts award called Joseph Jefferson Award. Moreover, the Jeff Awards are presented for the theatre arts which are produced in Chicago. 

Theatre stages were the second home for Hollis. Over the years Hollis has successfully emerged as one of the most hardworking and talented Theatre actresses. But, her capabilities were not just limited to the theatre. Over Hollis Resnik was known as a Chicago actress. 

Before her death, Hollis Resnik was hospitalized for over a week. She died with her family and ex-husband called Thomas Mendel at her side. 

Jim Heneghan, her longtime friend revealed that her ex-husband was by her side at the time of death. Thomas Mendel is a musician. 

Jim further informed us that she was all set to return to the theatre stage this summer. He also further added that as she was about to touch her retirement, she was looking for good opportunities in New York. But, sadly she was unable to move to New York due to the Covid situation. 

She was making her best decision and was choosing wisely for herself.

Hollis Resnik did many theater characters, but some of them led her to fame. However, in early 1980 her character like Fantine in ‘Les Miserables’ made two years in the national touring productions. 

While Aldonza in ‘Man of La Mancha’, Edith Beale in ‘Grey Gardens’, Eva Person in ‘Evita’, and many more are on the list.

Her most recent theatre was in 2019, Norma Desmond in ‘Porchlight Music Theatre’s Sunset Boulevard.’
