The news was confirmed by a family friend to Variety. According to the source, Forke has spent the last few years battling cancer.

Forke was also known for her role as Alex Lambert on the sitcom De Pernas Pro Ar (1992-1995), and for her appearances in films such as Sexual Harassment (1994) and Fire Against Fire (1995).

She was also part of the DC Comics adaptations, taking the role of  Mayson Drake in  Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman and by  Barda Free/Big Barda in other adaptations.

In the final phase of her career, she turned to voice acting, voicing the heroine Big Barda in two DC productions: Batman Beyond (2000) and Justice League Unlimited (2005).

The actress retired from the spotlight that same year, leaving Los Angeles for Texas after the birth of her children Chuck and Wit Forke.
