Einár Died
Einar, a 19-year-old Swedish rapper very popular in his country, was killed Thursday night, the media and Swedish police announced, faced with a wave of reckoning.
The rapper, whose real name is Nils Kurt Erik Einar Grönberg, had already been the target of an attempted kidnapping in 2020. He was riddled with bullets on a street in the residential neighborhood of Hammarby Sjöstad, near the center of Stockholm.
Police received notices of shots fired at around 11:00 PM (9:00 PM GMT) in that district, which is generally quiet.
He was seriously injured when he was found by emergency services, who tried to save him, and he died on the spot, Towe Hagg, a Stockholm police spokesman, told AFP.
As they usually do, the Swedish police did not officially confirm the identity of the victim, revealed by various media overnight.
