The Cuban actor, Abel Rodríguez, former partner of Edith Massola and father of the young presenter Paula Massola, died this October 15 in the city of Miami where he had resided for years.

The news was shared by several colleagues on social networks. Edith Massola only shared a candle on her Instagram stories and put her name on it. While Paula dedicated a few emotional words to him.

His daughter, Paula Massola, confirmed the news on her Facebook account:

“Some say that I have your lips, and your nose, those who knew you and have talked to me told me that I reminded them of you, I don’t know, but I don’t doubt it. I have to use my imagination, the one that they say I also inherited from you, to create scenarios with you where I see you after so long, ” wrote Paula.

“When I was little, sometimes I did it: that you appeared at my school, or that you arrived as a surprise, or I visited you, those scenarios are full of funny anecdotes, perhaps you also created them in your mind at some point and perhaps they exist somewhere. Rest dad, peace and light for your soul I wish you with all my heart. Hopefully, wherever you are, you will read this, ”added the actress.

“Always funny, smiling and an excellent actor. What f**king news bro. And I don’t want them to take what I’m going to say as politics, because I knew your way of thinking, but you were surprised by death outside your homeland, that’s why I say Homeland and Life, “he added later.

“For you and for all my artists and my Cuban brothers who live outside their homeland, which is and will be CUBA. And if something bothers your family by this my sincere and huge apologies. But it is what I feel for your departure outside your homeland. Rest in peace, my brother ”, he concluded.

Rodríguez was currently living in Miami, after years of working in Colombia. He had recently worked on “Plantados”, Lilo Vilaplana’s latest production in the United States.

He also worked on dozens of novels, some of them with great international repercussion. Celia (2015), El Clon (2010), La viuda de la mafia (2004), El chivo (2014), among others, stand out.
