Celebrities Say Goodbye To Actor Sebastián Boscán

Recognized for playing the character of Leandro Santos in the hit telenovela, Boscán died at the age of 41, a victim of stomach cancer.

On the morning of this November 29, Colombia learned the unfortunate news of the death of Sebastián Boscán, an actor recognized for playing the character of Leandro, one of the Santos brothers, in the successful novel of the early 2000s Pasión de Gavilanes. The 41-year-old man reportedly lost his life due to a multi-month battle with stomach cancer.

Although the news has not been confirmed by any of his relatives, several of his closest friends have already lamented the death of Boscán through publications on social networks. One of them was Giovanni Suárez, actor who gave life to the funny and beloved Benito in the aforementioned telenovela.

Through a video uploaded to his Instagram account, Suárez not only informed his followers of the death of the person who played his brother in Pasión de Gavilanes , but also lamented his death.

“It hurts my heart and soul to have to give you the news that I just found out: Sebitas, Sebastián Boscán, Leandro so that you understand me, he died of a serious illness,” said the actor, notably affected by the news.

“Sebitas, brother, I take it here. You know I adored you. Peace at the grave of Sebas and may the Lord comfort the soul of all his loved ones ”, he added.

It should be remembered that these two actors personified the Santos brothers, a duo that many on social networks have considered “insurmountable” due to the charisma and humor they transmitted to the production released 18 years ago in Colombia.

Likewise, another of the celebrities who came out to offer condolences for the death of ‘Leandro Santos’ was the renowned entertainment journalist Carlos Ochoa, also through a publication on Instagram.

“Your departure hurts my soul. Thank you for so many unforgettable characters. It seems incredible to say this: rest in peace, Sebastián ”, is the message written by Ochoa and that accompanies a photograph of Sebastián Boscán during his work in Pasión de Gavilanes.

He also added that “your departure hurts a lot. You always surprised me with your smile and your way of seeing life. Thanks for following me, going on my show, and giving me interviews. Surely you take your carriel to heaven to continue delivering talent, good trip friend ”.

And it is that Boscán always showed that he was proud of his Paisa heritage and of being the son of Medellín, the city in which he was born on March 4, 1980. For this reason, it is not uncommon for the actor’s funeral to take place in Antioquia, specifically in the Chapel of Montesacro, municipality of Itagüí.

According to Ochoa, the funeral ceremonies will take place from 5:00 pm on Monday, November 29, in the company of his relatives and those closest to him.

Finally, another of the celebrities who also manifested himself for the loss of his colleague was Julio César Herrera, an actor who played the funny ‘Freddy’ in Yo soy Betty la fea , a novel issued by RCN between 1999 and 2001.

The messenger of ‘Ecomoda’ assured that these last two years have been very difficult for the entertainment industry, due to the death of several artists who left, either due to covid-19 or due to other diseases, such as Boscan.

“What a couple of years these! Another companion marching to the other plane. A lot of light for Sebastián Boscán’s family, ”Herrera wrote on his official Twitter account, along with a photograph of the actor.
